Epsom Salt For Health And Beauty – Uses And Benefits!

Epsom salt is one of those things I have on hand at all times. It is a good source of magnesium, with hundreds of uses in home, beauty, and health. You can keep it in almost every room in your house because of its many uses!

Do not confuse Epsom salt with regular or himalayan salt, which also has many benefits. Epsom salt is a “salt” based on magnesium rather than a conventional salt based on sodium. It is chemically known as magnesium sulfate and is a source of magnesium that is simple and inexpensive.

Research shows that due to declining magnesium levels in our nutrition and climate, most people lack this essential mineral. One easy way to improve magnesium levels is to use Epsom salt around the house and in beauty and health treatments.

It is used by people to relieve health issues such as muscle soreness and stress. It is also inexpensive, user-friendly and harmless if properly used. Magnesium plays a wide range of roles in the body, like controlling the activity of more than 325 enzymes, reducing inflammation, improving muscle and nerve function, and helping to prevent artery hardening. Sulfates help improve nutrient absorption, remove contaminants, and help ease headaches.

Try This: In a recipe like this, use Epsom salt instead of table salt. Alternatively, either blend 1/2 cup epsom salt with 1/4 cup olive alternatively almond oil and use it in the shower as an exfoliating scrub.

3. Magnesium Foot Scrub

Our feet are one of our bodies’ most overworked and undervalued parts. It’s easy to end up with sore feet and legs on days I walk or work out for hours, so I love using this soothing magnesium foot scrub.

Try This: To make a luxurious foot scrub., mix 1 cup of Epsom salt or magnesium flakes with some carrier oil and a little castile soap. It also helps with cracked heels.

4. Facial Wash

Have I mentioned that magnesium will help to make the skin firm and exfoliate? For a soothing and firming boost, I add a little Epsom salt to my face wash or oil cleaning routine.

Try This: Grind salt in the blender and apply to your face wash or skin-cleaning oil as you rub it in your face. I find that works better than trying to apply it to the face wash container.

5. Hair Mask

Epsom salt can also be used to thicken and protect the hair in the shower. I love adding Epsom salt to a natural conditioner for hair texture and strengthening.

Try This: Mix Epsom salt with a natural conditioner and work it in your hair. Leave it for up to 20 minutes, then rinse and dry. The hair treatment can help thicken your hair.
