  • Then add the butter (at room temperature)
  • Using a hand blender, blend until completely smooth
  • Then add the sugar and whipping cream
  • Using an electric hand mixer, beat for about 2 minutes at high speed
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition
  • Sift the flour and baking powder through a fine-mesh strainer into the mixture
  • Add salt and mix well with a rubber spatula to combine
  • Place the batter into a greased round mold and smooth the top
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 160c (320f) for about 30-35minutes
  • Remove from the oven, place on a wire rack and let cool for 10 minutes
