Homemade Waffles can be served with honey, syrup chocolate, and whatever you want.

INGREDIENTS LIST for Homemade Waffles:

  • 1 egg
  • 125 ml (4.2 oz) of whole milk
  • 50 g (1.7 oz) of sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon of active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 125 g (4.4 oz) of wheat flour
  • 50 g (1.7 oz) of melted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • Maple syrup, for garnish (optional)

Let’s start with the instructions:

  • Start by adding the egg, milk, sugar, yeast, and vanilla extract to a bowl.
  • Whisk all together until well combined.
  • Then whisk in the flour, salt, and melted butter until smooth and well blended.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let sit in a warm place for at least 1h.
  • Gently stir the batter to release the air bubbles.
  • Heat the waffle maker and lightly grease with vegetable oil or butter.
  • When hot, add a scoop of batter into each well of the waffle maker.
  • Close the lid and cook for about 3min. or until golden brown.
  • Transfer the waffles to a plate.
  • Garnish with pats of butter and maple syrup and serve immediately!
  • They also can be served with honey and nuts, chocolate and banana, whipped cream, ice cream and strawberry, blackberry jam, or whatever you like!
