Today you will learn how to make a delicious Delicious Mille-Feuille with Strawberry & Whipped Cream. Follow the recipe below:

Mille-Feuille Ingredients (for 4 persons)

  • 1 large rectangular puff pastry sheet
  • 2 tbs. of granulated sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten, for brushing
  • 600 ml (20.0oz) of heavy whipping cream
  • 90 g (3.1oz) of powdered sugar
  • powdered sugar for sprinkling
  • 4 strawberries cut in half, for garnish.

Let’s get started!

  • Start by unrolling the puff pastry on a work surface.
  • Sprinkle with sugar and then, using a rolling pin, roll the sugar into the dough.
  • Flip the dough and repeat on the other side.
  • Brush with beaten egg.
  • Transfer to a baking sheet lined with baking paper and poke holes all over the puff pastry with a fork.
  • Bake in center of a preheated oven at 180 C (350 F) for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
  • Using a serrated knife, trim the edges, then cut the puff pastry into 12 equal rectangles, set aside.
  • Using an electric hand mixer, whisk the whipping cream until thick and creamy.
  • TIPS: the bowl and cream should be very cold to help with the whipping process.
  • Add powdered sugar and continue whisking until the whipped cream is fluffy and firm.
  • Transfer to a pastry bag fitted with a large star tip.
  • To assemble pipe a layer of whipped cream on top of a puff pastry rectangle.
  • Place another puff pastry rectangle over the whipped cream, and pipe another layer of cream.
  • Cover with a third puff pastry rectangle and sprinkle with powdered sugar on top.
  • Garnish with strawberry halves, and dessert is ready to eat.
